Our professionally qualified technicians change your vehicle’s software by adjusting the operating parameters so that the car responds in a way bespoke to your requirements rather than to the original factory settings.

We easily access the map stored within the ECU via the OBD (onboard diagnostics port) or by simply removing it for Chip Tuning (Bench Tuning). Once a read of the map is taken, the parameters will be carefully and precisely adjusted to optimise power and fuel savings – and even both.

The process usually takes less than an hour, subject to vehicle and ECU type, though Chip Tuning can take a little longer.

Remapping Unleashes Performance

ECU Remapping/Programming improves how your engine performs. New vehicles are set to the same standard detuned manufacturer settings to meet all driving conditions and climates. By reading the ECU’s processing chip of the standard compromised map and fine-tuning elements within it, such as fuel pressure, boost pressure (for turbocharged applications) ignition advance and throttle pedal control, the result is a customised engine that delivers increased power – and decreased fuel consumption.

Disabling the EGR valve improves engine efficiency and performance. EGR systems frequently become clogged with carbon deposits and fail or stick, leading to error codes and poor running.

EGR blanking or software solution result in lower engine temperatures, and improved throttle response and fuel efficiency. Furthermore, our EGR solution can reduce oil contamination and carbon deposits for longer engine life.

Economy Remapping improves fuel economy by 8-10% on most diesel vehicles, and is therefore a popular choice for fleet vehicles. It reduces throttle load and enables driving in higher gears sooner and for longer.

Chip Tuning

Chip Tuning is another name for ECU Remapping. However, the ECU’s actual programme chip is removed and re-programmed or replaced with a new modified chip that has been remapped by Top Tuning. Although not used often these days, Chip Tuning can be the only way to remap certain vehicles.

OBD Remapping is an efficient way to read software from the ECU (‘Engine Control Unit’) and overwrite it. Terms such as ‘OBD port tuning’ or ‘OBD port remap’ essentially mean the same: engine remapping by using the OBD port.
