Terms of Sale – Top Tuning Limited
Before proceeding with our services, please read and understand the terms of sale between you (our customer) and Top Tuning Limited. Throughout these terms, Top Tuning Limited will be referred to as ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our,’ and you, the customer, as ‘you’ or ‘your.’
ECU Remapping – Safe & Reliable with Conditions
Our ECU remapping service is safe and professionally executed, but it relies on your vehicle being in full working order within manufacturer-standard tolerances. If your vehicle’s engine, components, or hardware are not performing within expected parameters, remapping could cause damage. We assume your vehicle is functioning correctly unless informed otherwise.
Pre-Remap Diagnostic Checks
We conduct DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) checks and fault code analysis before any tuning work. If your vehicle does not respond as expected to the remap, we will restore the original settings and offer a partial refund, excluding the deposit.
Warranty & Risk Acknowledgment
✅ Lifetime Software Warranty – We provide a full lifetime warranty on the remapping software installed. ❌ No Warranty on Mechanical or Electrical Components – We do not cover parts, wires, sensors, or other mechanical issues. ⚠ Owner’s Responsibility – The remap is performed at the owner’s risk and consent. You acknowledge potential risks and agree to proceed with full understanding.
Customer Agreement Terms
✅ Power/Torque Gains – Approximate figures, as performance varies due to age, wear, and manufacturing differences. ✅ Fuel Efficiency – Fuel savings depend on driving style, temperature, tyre pressure, load weight, and maintenance. ✅ Mechanical Faults & Repairs – We are not liable for existing or future mechanical faults post-remap, but we can resolve minor issues where possible. ✅ Warranty Voiding – Remapping may void manufacturer warranties. ✅ MOT Restrictions – Any emissions bypass software (DECAT, DPF, GPF, EGR, AdBlue deletes) is strictly at the owner’s risk for MOT and government regulations. ✅ Performance Products Disclaimer – Individual results vary depending on vehicle make, model, engine health, and usage.
Post-Remap Test Drive & Responsibilities
🚗 Test Drive Verification – We test-drive the vehicle after remapping to ensure optimal response. 🚫 No On-Site Travel for Issues – If issues arise after leaving, the vehicle must be returned to us for diagnosis. 🔎 Third-Party Diagnostics – If required, the customer may need an independent mechanic assessment, but additional fees are not covered by us. ⚠ Mechanical Issues & Remap Removal – If faults arise, we can remove the remap, but refunds will not be given. Reinstallation may incur a charge.
Virtual Read Disclaimer & Responsibility
Many vehicles use Virtual Reads, meaning the ECU file retrieved does not contain the current ECU data but a stock manufacturer file. Pre-existing modifications (e.g., AdBlue deletes) may not transfer over. If issues arise due to Virtual Reads, additional charges may apply for necessary corrections.
Deposit & Refund Policy
💳 Deposits Are Non-Refundable – This covers our time if mechanical faults prevent tuning or last-minute cancellations. Deposits remain valid indefinitely. 💰 Partial Refunds – If a remap does not respond as expected, we will restore stock settings and issue a refund minus the deposit. ⚠ Pre-Mapped Vehicles – If a vehicle has previously been remapped, an £50 fee applies for time, travel, and labor costs.

Top Tuning Limited does not accept liability for any bills or loss of earnings. By proceeding, you acknowledge the risks and agree to these terms.
